Name of client: Frank Bruno Foundation
“Magnify work tirelessly to support the causes I am passionate about.”
What they needed support with: Magnifying the work of the Foundation, launched by retired boxer Frank Bruno to support those suffering mental ill health.
How we delivered: Using our network of contacts with the national media, we’ve set up dozens of interviews with those involved in running the Foundation. This has seen national TV channels including BBC, ITV and Sky covering the work of the charity as well as national newspapers and news websites.
What the results were: The Foundation is going from strength to strength and helping thousands of people each year. It now has two centres, one in Northamtpon and one in Milton Keynes. A third is planned for east London, where Frank trained to become a World Champion.

Name of client: Jonathan Rolande
Headline: “The support we receive has exceeded all expectations.”
What he needed support with: As the founder of House Buy Fast and a lead spokesman for the National Association of Property Buyers, Jonathan Rolande is one of the most well informed property experts in the UK.
But when we first started working with Jonathan he was struggling to cut through and secure a foothold in the UK media as a commentator.
How we delivered: In the space of a year Jonathan became one of the UK’s most prolific commentators. He has two monthly columns, one with Express.co.uk – which is in the top 20 most read websites in the World and one with Estate Agent Today – the go-to site for anyone working in the property sector. Jonathan regularly appears on TV and radio, and is now top of the list of property writers on national newspapers looking for a comment on a breaking story.
What the results were: Jonathan’s emergence as one of the country’s top property commentators has seen both House Buy Fast, and the National Association of Property Buyers rise up on Google rankings. In the ultra-competitive world of property this has been a vital step forward in the growth journey of each organisation.

Name of client: GB News
What they needed support with: GB News launched in 2020, but its first few months in existence saw them have to navigate difficult headlines due to technical issues and high profile staff departures. Their image had also unfairly been portrayed as a right-wing channel focused only on narrow set of views and values. As a result this was impacting the advertising partnerships they could attract.
How we delivered: We worked with GB News’ internal PR team to start magnifying and amplifying the superb content which the channel was broadcasting. Via eight to ten press releases a day, we shared stories from the channel’s TV and radio with thousands of journalists across the world. Within weeks, writers who had previously not included GB News in their reports, were doing so.
What the results were: Each month GB News now appears in thousands of stories in newspapers, websites and across other broadcast outlets, including rivals – the BBC and ITV.
The support has pushed GB News into the mainstream, helped boost viewing figures and aided the ongoing process of attracting new advertisers. It’s also seen a boost to traffic to GB News’ website, which is emerging as one of the fastest growing in the UK.

Name of client: Taylor Rose MW
“My campaign would not have trailblazed the nation the way it has without Magnify’s guidance, expert knowledge, drive and compassion.”
What they needed support with: Announcing the merger with a new law firm, and to communicate the fact they were one of the fastest growing law firms in the UK. Taylor Rose MW also wanted to magnify the fact they’d recently acquired a property tech start up called SlothMove. And they wanted to try and amplify the expertise of their solicitors and legal experts by placing them in more mainstream media publications.
How we delivered: We created a strategy that demonstrated how the company’s merger was just one step in a bigger journey towards growth and success. We set up interviews with senior Taylor MW directors, including its CEO Adrian Jaggard, to help communicate this message.
Working with Taylor Rose’s internal PR team, we also turbo-charged their communications by connecting their solicitors to our network of national journalists.
What the results were: Taylor Rose MW were able to effectively communicate the news of their merger. Furthermore, their solicitors now regularly appear in legal publications and the mainstream media, talking about their areas of expertise.
We’ve also launched a major campaign with one of their partners, Keely Lengthorn. Keeley has endured the heartbreak of three miscarriages in three years, and is fighting for new laws to ensure parents can get more time off when going through bereavement. Since launching the campaign Keeley has appeared in dozens of outlets, across the print and broadcast media. The campaign is ongoing.

Name of client: TUBR

What they needed support with: To secure more publicity in both the mainstream media and in publications specialising in tech-news, with a specific focus on data.
How we delivered: When we started working with TUBR, their co-founder Dash Tabor had suffered a pretty poor experience in terms of PR support. One provider said the company was not interesting enough to be featured in the media. We disagreed, especially after we listened to how Dash had set up the business. She told us how, after being left fed up with having her face wedged into armpit after armpit on the morning Tube commute in London, she developed tech to help people travel at times when there were less crowds. Her story was compelling, and we used it to connect Dash and her team at TUBR to the media contacts she needed to be infront of.
What the results were: TUBR has now been featured hundreds of times in the mainstream media, including in the Mirror, Daily Mail and the Times and in specialist tech and business publications. Dash is also due to take part in an exciting new business podcast series and we are supporting TUBR with a communications strategy as they migrate to a new website.

Name of client: The Laura Hyde Foundation.
“Magnify has been able to open doors at various newspapers and specialist publications allowing us to contact people who previously would have been difficult to reach.”
What they needed support with: To magnify their ongoing campaign to help improve mental health services for those working in the emergency sector. The Laura Hyde Foundations supports NHS staff, police officers and firefighters – many of whom find they are unable to receive the help they need from their employers.
How we helped: Magnify connected the chairman of the Laura Hyde Foundation to national newspapers, TV channels, radio stations and publications specialising in health and social care.
This led to the work of the Foundation being quickly magnified and the charity’s board routinely quoted in mainstream outlets. We also provided PR support for ongoing campaigns the charity was running. This included the “No Mask For Mental Health” crusade, which ran through the Covid-19 pandemic, a period where many 999 workers saw their mental health suffer. We also provided PR support for “Their Feelings” campaign which focused on the impact the aftermath of the pandemic had had on 999 workers.
What the results were: The No Mask For Mental Health crusade became an award-winning campaign and led to a surge in donations to the charity. During the time we’ve worked with the Foundation they’ve appeared in National newspapers including, The Times, the Telegraph, the Guardian and the Daily Mail. Their chairman, Liam Barnes, now regularly appears on TV and radio and is a regular commentator in health publications including the Nursing Times.

Name of client: A major family-run business turning over tens of millions of pounds a year.
What they needed support with: A negative news story which damaged their reputation and risked seeing them lose contracts worth millions of pounds a year.
How we delivered: Working with the client, we used our journalistic expertise to conduct an urgent investigation into the story, quickly establishing that the “facts”, as had been reported, were not all correct. This enabled us to contact the publications direct to request the article’s removal.
What the results were: All the publications who ran the story removed it from their website, ensuring that the negative footprint online about the company vanished. We also worked with the client to communicate the outcome of our investigation to its customers and partners who had threatened to withdraw their business. This reassured them the client was safe to carry on trading with. New procedures have also been in place internally to ensure the chances of a similar story ever appearing again are greatly reduced.
